Five Lamps are a registered charity based in Stockton on Tees who deliver an integrated portfolio of social, economic and financial inclusion services. These services range from personal unsecured and enterprise loans through to their “Empty house” social housing scheme.
Five Lamps mission statement is described on their website as seeking to transform lives, raise aspiration, remove barriers and offer choice to those who are in need of their services.
The Centre for Investigative Learning were asked by Five Lamps to design and deliver a fraud awareness event for senior staff focusing on the 3 key elements of prevention, detection and response.
The event held in March 2016 was a resounding success and hopefully forms the beginning of a relationship between the two organisations which will continue to grow and help inform and protect their valuable and important services going forward.
