The appliance of behavioural science.
Just about everything we do involves interaction with others. Therefore, the ability to understand and respond to an individuals presented and hidden feelings and drivers is, and always will be, invaluable.
The ability to effectively communicate with others – especially if you want to persuade or influence them to act or behave in a certain way – requires the ability to understand them on both a cognitive and emotional level.
In Business terms people, be they staff or customer, can be your greatest asset or conversely your biggest vulnerability.
The risks that an organisation may face depend very much on the size, nature and complexity of the activities it undertakes. The deployment of sophisticated technical surveillance and security systems go some way to mitigating any potential threat but alone do not provide the answer. They should supplement not replace a holistic end to end protective monitoring system.
Behavioural Insights – The establishment and monitoring of normative business and staff behavioural baselines are key elements of a proactive risk management programme. They allow for real time identification of changes away from the norm and for early assessment, analysis and action.
The ability to identify and mitigate security breaches and risk depends on how vigilant and aware staff are and this in turn depends on how informed and educated they are.

Definitely recommend, think it is a course everyone on anti-trust should attend. Surpassed all of my expectations and showed me things I had not even realised I did not know
The course was really useful tool for introduction to fraud investigation. its far more practical thinking and doing rather than being lectured and note taking
Very professional (they) understand how investigators behave. Good application of recognised learning methods and implementation in an innovative way
A course which takes you on a journey from the basics of communication through being able to look for verbal and non verbal signs. It is challenging at times and thought provoking and anyone attending from an investigative background will take something from it
I found the course thought provoking and indeed has made me change a few areas in my interview technique. The interviewees were also excellent.
If you want a different approach to an introduction to fraud investigation this is it.
